PwnTech are a partnership based in Edinburgh. We sell online on this site and on ebay, and in real-life at our shop. We are a dedicated team of PC hardware and software specialists, with many years' experience building and troubleshooting every kind of computer system. We are uniquely placed in this market as being able to offer a very high grade of after-sales support; if anything goes wrong, you will always be able to speak to the specific expert who built your machine.

What PwnTech means
For an explanation of the etymology of the word "pwn", see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pwned. To us, it is a nod of acknowledgement to the gamer culture that has inspired the majority of our products. This culture is sometimes quirky, often unorthodox, and always seeking more power, performance and generally aspiring to higher levels of awesomeness - these are qualities that we at PwnTech associate with and are motivated by. We aren't afraid to show a little personality, and if you also associate with these qualities, you are likely to find our service and dedication suits you much better than what the larger bland, faceless corporations can offer to modern gamers and power users whose needs they simply do not understand.

We use encrypted PayPal buttons to guarantee customer security and privacy, and electronically triple-check all orders; our server talks directly to PayPal's servers to verify a payment, to protect us and our customers from any potential fraud. We take our users' privacy very seriously, storing no payment information, and keeping all warranty and quote data on a regularly security-audited server on a secure enterprise-class network. No email addresses or telephone numbers are used for marketing purposes either by us or third parties, and all personal information is kept strictly confidential.

This site is designed from scratch, updated and maintained by our own hardware team and hosted on our own server (also built by us, from scratch).
